Fly Fishing Guide Program

Boating Guide Program

The Goodwill Guides offer two certificate programs designed to teach students about the basic and intermediate level of professional guide fishing. The guide programs are dedicated to stream fishing and lake fishing training to insure that a student has the experience and skills to provide professional guiding for customers after completing practical skill test demonstrated in the field.

The fishing programs are a combination of indoor and outdoor training lessons. The mission of our Guides is to provide students with top quality training and support for career minded anglers of any age.

The Fishing Guide Program utilizes hands on training, classroom instruction, field trips and real life guiding experiences to prepare a them for a possible job of a lifetime as a professional guide.

Is the guiding profession for me?

Ask yourself do “want to work as a guide year round or work 3 months a year during the fishing season? There are many opportunities available worldwide in many facets of outdoor guiding. We believe that a well-rounded guide will have better opportunities to find employment as a “year round” guide rather than just part time seasonal employment.

Does The Fly Fishing Guide Program help with employment opportunities and support?

Yes, We provide job placement assistance to qualified graduates. We have outfitters throughout the United States with job openings. Employment opportunities and job listings are made available to students seeking to become professional guides or other outdoor career opportunities. The Fishing Guide Program recruitment staff uses several internal staffing methods to help outdoor career minded candidates seek out employment sources.
